Hi everyone!

It’s that time of the week again where I discuss my thoughts and you read if you want to.

Today, I thought I would do a little update on life, seen as it feels like forever (although I only posted last week). I took a break from blogging and YouTube to kind of build my confidence and self esteem. I wanted to make sure I was happy with the way I look. Even though I feel like there’s still a distance to go in my health and fitness journey, I am really happy so far and thought I would share it with those people out there who feel like they are too busy to begin their fitness programme or do food prep or eat healthy. I was the same, but with a little work I managed to figure out just how to squeeze it into my life, and now it is something I look forward to and enjoy…who would have thought?!

I spent so long saying ‘I’ll start tomorrow’ and eventually got so used to my diet of eating rubbish that I just couldn’t really be bothered. I started to lose energy and motivation. My friend decided she wanted to kickstart her fitness ‘journey’ as people call it, and asked me to join the gym to which – admittedly – I was a little skeptical to do, but I did it anyway.

I started out by joining the gym, and keeping my food relatively the same. I cut out crisps with my lunch and started to eat brown bread. I’m sure you can agree this wasn’t much of a difference, but I did start to see changes and once that happened it made me feel like I wanted to do more and eat healthier.

I began to book classes at the gym some cardio, some weights. I wanted to have a mix. I knew that if I went by myself I would end up doing 15 minutes and then deciding I was way too tired and going home. I found that doing classes eliminated that possibility because I couldn’t leave once the class had started.

I think that was the main thing that helped me lose the weight, I did the classes and I genuinely enjoyed it. The gym is a good place to not think or get everything you’re thinking about our of your system, it really started to chill me out when I was going regularly. It made me happier with my body, enjoy some me time and really focus on what I wanted – essentially it helped organise my mind.

If you’re thinking of started your health and fitness journey, use me as an example. I hated eating well, I loved bad food and I could never be bothered to go to the gym for more than 15 minutes if that! Classes saved me, so maybe try them first, but definitely do it if you have been thinking about it for a while. Do something that you know will make you happy.

      Personally I just started classes doing spinning or using a rowing machine to do my cardio worked best. If you guys want to hear more about exactly what I ate/did to lose a stone let me know and I’ll post a more extensive piece with before and after pics x
