So, this post is a little late, but I thought I’d do a quick recap of what I’ve been loving this month!
Also, my SD Card has gone walk abouts so I’ve had to take the pictures on my phones so sorry about the quality of them! But I just wanted to get this post out there because I haven’t written on here in what feels like forever (2 weeks) and I was excited to post. Anyway I’m going to stop babbling on and get to the point of the post!
I have absolutely been LOVING the makeup this September as you can see by the picture!
First of all, some of the stuff in this post is a bit expensive, but I’m going to do a post next week about drug store products that I’ve bought and LOVED. I’ve popped a few of them in this post because they are so fricken’ good, and SO cheap.
I’m going to start of with the foundation. I find it so tricky to get a foundation with a good balance of everything for my skin, and I’ve actually found it in GIORGIO ARMANI. Now this one is one the pricey side but worth it, as it lasts a while and it’s really great because I have combination skin, and I feel as though it really caters to that! As I said, in my post next week you will see what every day foundation I’ve been using (as I’m not wearing a foundation that expensive every day!)
Second, we’ve got a tie. Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Promade, and Freedom Brow Promade. The price of these two products has about a £10 difference. Freedom being £3 and Anastasia being £14. I love both of these products, but if I was going out I’d probably go for Anastasia because it’s a little more long lasting, but for £3 you’re not going to get better than Freedom! It’s amazing. I wear it literally everyday.
Then you’ve got Revolution Ultra Contour Kit, which I bought for £8 and I can honestly say hand on heart I love this product. So so affordable, and worth every penny. You get two gorgeous highlights in this palette as well which are so pigmented, that you don’t need to use much for the effect to be crazy good, just don’t go highlight happy!
Whilst we’re on the topic of contour, I’ve put the Bobby Brown foundation stick in their in the colour ‘Almond’ which I use for a cream contour instead, and it’s fab. I love this one!
I’ve popped a few lippies in there, I have been wearing more berry tones as it IS Autumn after all. Literally one sign of Autumn and the berry toned lipsticks are whipped out and immediately applied- like is there another way?! That’s surely the best thing about this season.
I’ve also put in Candy K, Kylie LipKit because this has been my trusty everyday go to liquid lipstick. It’s a lot darker than I thought it would be, but still so nice, and suitable for an everyday wear. I feel like this is so useful if you’re not wanting to reapply at all throughout the day, it’s worth the money let’s just say that.
Finally, I’ve been loving MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish in ‘RIO’ which is truly such a good investment. It gives such a gorgeous colour to the cheeks, without making them really pink, it can be subtle but if you do want to layer it, it obviously gets a lot more pigmented and brighter!
Well, I say finally, but can you really do a favourites post and not admit to the foods you’ve been loving this month? I can’t. As we all know, it’s getting to Christmas time, and so I’ve been absolutely indulging in Ginger bread biscuits, with no regrets. They. Are. So. Good. They aren’t in the picture because, well there’s none left! I can’t stop.
I’m trying to think of any other favourites I might have before I end this post, and I can’t really think of anything to be honest! Do you ever get that, when you’re going through the month and you’re like ‘Oh my god, this is going in my favourites, that’s going in my favourite’s’ and then you come to doing the post and you’re mind goes blank? Well that’s me right now! I’m sure if there’s anything else I’ll pop it into next months blog post.
I hope you enjoyed this post, and some of these products find their way into your makeup bag, because they’re so worth it!
