Making your Home Cosy

Is it just me, or is there no feeling quite like home? Whether it be after a long day at work, or maybe you just need some you time (which for me, is kind of all the time!)

I love that feeling towards the end of the day, when I know I can go home, relax and get cosy, especially as we’re heading into the Winter months, it’s just nice to be surrounded by your home comforts.

Me being such a home bird, in the sense that I absolutely love nothing more than being curled up on my sofa at the end of a long day, means I spend time making my surroundings somewhere I really want to be, and so I thought I’d do a blog post about how I like to do that.

First of all, my home is basically covered in fairy lights for the added ambiance they give. If you drape them around your door frame, or pop them on your window ledge, they will just make you feel so much more at home, or at least they do for me. I’ve even managed to get my boyfriend using fairy lights, which, if you knew him is a big deal!

Secondly, this goes without saying I’m sure, but candles! They make everything look, smell and feel better. The one in the photo below is a personalised candle with my initial, which I love, because me and my best friend (also my flatmate) decided to get matching ones when we moved in.

So, I am also really obsessed with photo booth pictures, they’re so adorable to have and they just remind you of spending time with people you love, I literally have these pictures everywhere, it does help that there’s a place near to us which have a photo booth (which we totally overuse)

Finally, I love sticking little notes on my wall, that my boyfriend or my friends have written for me, they make me happy when I wake up because they’re the first things that I see.

I hope there’s a few tips in here that you might like to add to your home, and if you have anything I could add, then I’d love to know, or if you have a similar blog post, I would love to read! 🙂
